Website privacy
Last updated 7 November 2026
This page covers netbrief.app, the website. It doesn't cover the NetBrief app, which will have a privacy policy of its own before it launches. The website is run by Egregius Digital, in Canada.
Counting visits
The website uses Google Analytics to count visits, so we can tell whether anyone is finding it and what they read. It records:
- which pages are viewed, how far down they're scrolled, and links followed off the site;
- roughly where visitors are, to the city, worked out from their internet address;
- the kind of device and browser, and the site or search that led here;
- that someone asked for early access, but not who.
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to tell one visit from the next. It doesn't tell us your name or email address, and we don't use it for advertising. Google handles the data for us and may keep it outside Canada. The detailed records are kept for two months; after that, only totals remain.
To be left out, block cookies for this site in your browser, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
Asking for early access
The early access form asks for your email address, which phone you have, and, if you like, your name. They're kept in NetBrief's own database, in Canada, with the date you asked. We use them only to email you when NetBrief is ready to try, with the version for your phone. We never sell them or share them, and there are no accounts on this site. To be taken off the list, email us and we'll delete them.
Routine logs
Like any website, our hosting keeps routine logs of visits and of the form being sent, including internet addresses and the kind of browser, for about a month. They're used only to keep the site running and safe.
Emailing us
Getting in touch opens an email to hello@netbrief.app. We get your email address and whatever you write, and use them only to reply.
Questions
Email hello@netbrief.app. If this page changes, the date at the top will too.
